The restaurant is set in a picturesque location by the creek and lush greenery . We really loved the papaya milkshake, the latte and galletas de avena y chocolate All three items on The main course were a disappointment. We got the miso grilled eggplant with rice, avacado toast and shakshuka. The food wasn’t flavorful . Avacado toast was a bummer - avocado paste / puree and berry tomatoes on a bread. Wonder how they could do a poor job on an avocado toast. The shakshuka had local cheese cubes on it - that left a bad taste in the mouth .

Today my very good friend and I went for lunch at La Casita de Ale. The restaurant itself is a very pleasant experience. It is set beside a lovely creek babbling its way to create a lovely ambience among the trees and bamboo. While there are tables out on the lawn, we chose to sit on the patio under the roof as rain seemed imminent. My friend chose the avocado toast with an egg while ordered the breakfast sandwich. Both orders came at the same time which was wonderful. The avocado toast looked especially delicious. There was some beautiful cherry tomatoes cut up on top of the avocado. My girl-friend said it was very tasty. The bread/toast looked especially good. My breakfast sandwich was also very tasty albeit kinda weird. It was your typical breakfast sandwich with eggs (I chose scrambled) and cheese and some arugula. Pretty standard affair but not here!! They added jam. Now I know that sorta sounds weird and it is BUT it worked. It really worked well! The bun may have helped this along. It was an amazing bun with sesame seeds and some salt sprinkled on top. It was truly a great bun. I also had a cappuccino which was nicely presented and didn't need any sugar. Good coffee! And while the ambience was great and the food was very tasty, we really enjoyed our waitress, Susanne. She was AWESOME! She has a great sense of humour, very personable and efficient! She took the experience over the top! Thanks, Susanne. We look forward to seeing you soon. I totally recommend this wonderful little out of the way spot. Try it, you won't regret it!! FYI - Susanne is the taller of the two girls.

Casita de Ale has completely stolen my heart. It’s not just the food (which is incredible), but the entire experience. I had the shakshuka here and I can honestly say it’s the best I’ve ever had in my life. Their pastries are from another world: fresh, flaky, and full of flavor. What makes this place even more special is the atmosphere. It’s incredibly welcoming for both kids and pets, and the outdoor setting is magical. You sit surrounded by lemon and mango trees, listening to the soft sound of the nearby river. It’s peaceful, beautiful, and has that authentic Boquete charm that’s hard to find elsewhere. I absolutely love the food, I love the vibe. I’ll keep coming back again and again. A true gem!

I love the vibe, and I love the location. Several of the seats have a nice view of a stream that adds nice background sound. The food is quite good and the combination of the two make this a definite top 10 for me in Boquete. FYI, you order up front and pay. Cash not accepted.

I loved this place! Really nice atmosphere, set in nature next to a creek. It’s not on the main road so it’s nice and quiet. The servers were very sweet and attentive. Good portion size and unique offerings. The baked items looked amazing! I will definitely return.
